Scorpion Solitaire: learn through an example

Try Scorpion Solitaire at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Look at what changes after your first action.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

Take a closer look while playing

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Notice the feedback after each input.

What you are aiming for

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Try to explain the aim in your own words.

Work through the instructions

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

How to use the controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. A new-round button replaces the current round.

Learn from a sample situation

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Look for the relevant detail.

An important reminder

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use.
